Full Moon at 4 degrees of Gemini: Pick it Apart to Keep it Whole
The Moon will be at its maximum light in Gemini at 11:16am Cyprus time. There were turning points in this lifetime that implied the reality that we are grappling to understand now. There were implications in 2012 and 2020 that now stand visible, fluorescent bright- some messages can no longer be ignored. Observing the days before this Moon, multiple realities have shown themselves to be what they have always been.
The bones of the situation will always shine through. You can fool the mind, believe your lie but the body will always hold the truth and know the extent of your self-betrayals. It does not seek to punish you but it is the very thing that tethers you to the truth of your actions. The body keeps the score and Mars-Saturn t-squaring this Moon is the big debt collector or big harvest bringer. Look at where your choices have led you in an inquisitive and objective way.
In the days before this Moon, I saw a lot of people deciding to quit or adjust long-term addictions from the place of knowing that they could no longer fool themselves knowing what they know, that the lag of suppression was beginning to catch up and that they began to understand that our will must grow stronger than our pain because it is the only thing that can get us out of it. There is a confrontation with the grit of who we are, we want to test our metal and move beyond resignation to lacklustre action, you must choose outside of the familiar of that which you know is no longer working or actively failing you. Having a Saturn-Mars opposition in my own chart, I know about not being let off the hook and can testify about the sacredness of this energy that has been the backbone of any real transformation or tangible change in my life. I know that when I shy away from choices I know I am responsible for making, I only prolong the game and make it harder for myself. What seems like a difficult choice that could hold the prospect of your end of you as you know it, at first, may be the grace that ends your loop of suffering for good.
Cutting things from the root is a theme that comes with this moon, not in a reactive way but through the proper use of mental energies. The sword that cuts through the endless narrative. The piece of clarity that you will always be grateful for because it will represent the one decision or switch that reorientates it all. We are going through mass deconstruction and this Moon asks us to do the dirty work of investigating the darkness under our own rugs- the place through which our limitations are finally revealed and in which we began to map out the structure of our liberation.
Gemini’s maverick thinking and powerful picking apart of a concept or thing or person in our lives opens a multivalent perspective that leaves us with the hard facts of what we are doing to ourselves and what we are doing for ourselves. With Saturn and Mars, we get to choose what we amplify and what we build with. With these two presences, we are reminded that choices matter and actions are the real communicators of our thoughts. Overcoming ourselves is a long lasting gift, refusing to do so is a long lasting prison. The universe is loving and lets you choose the rooms that you inhabit. But you don’t get to complain when your time is up, you reap what you sow and you must eat what you yourself prepared in the kitchen of your life. Commitment to self is a remediation of countless self-betrayals.
Allowing the mind to go in and finally see the decisions that play with our integrity requires courage (Mars) and soberness of mind (Saturn), it needs the exertion of the will above the body’s familiar pulls (Mars) and the awareness of the finiteness of our existence (Saturn). That’s where you get to choose the potential of who you deserve to be rather than shroud yourself in the endless stories of why you cannot embody the thing that your soul is most desiring for yourself. Both Saturn and Mars respect the struggle of what goes in to build the self, they reward the consistency of choosing to give life to you especially if the process of doing so is not enjoyable to the ‘personality’ but crucial to the soul. I feel like in collaboration, they are the builders of integrity.
